The most obvious difference between these two devices has to do with the size, where one is short and cute, the A7 is weighty and tall. The A7 comes in at a 5.7-inch screen and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, while the the A3 is a 4.7-inch device and a resolution of 720 x 1080 pixels

As expected, the A7 weighs more than the A3. With both of them coming in at 189g and 136g respectively.
The A3 and A7 have the speaker grills placed on the right side of the device, along with the power button which is quite unusual for a Samsung device.

The A7 has a larger camera (16MP in front and back) than the A3 (13MP at the back and 8MP in front). They also have the USB-type C-Port and earphone jack placed beneath the device.

The volume buttons have been placed on the left.
There is also the presence of the home button which also serves as a fingerprint reader. Then you have the notification and proximity sensors on top.

The A7 has a dedicated MicroSD card slot located on the top of the device. It also has the dual-SIM card slot which is located on the left side of the device

While the A3 uses a Hybrid SIM card slot.

You won’t need to run for cover when it rains with the A3 and A7 thanks to the IP68 water and dust resistance feature.

Even though the A7 and A3 both come with non-removal batteries with the A7 having a larger battery (3600mAh battery as opposed to the A3’s  2350 mAh battery), the A7 has an added edge with its fast charging capabilities.
