MTN Nigeria has launched a special offer due to the Covid-19 lock-down facing Nigeria. The promo tagged Stay Safe offer is their response to the demands of Nigerians calling for reduction in the prices of data and other services provided by all the major telcos in the country.

The Stay Safe offer all MTN subscribers 10 free SMS everyday for 30 days. This makes a total of 300 free SMS per month and it will run for 3 months. Nigeria Minister of Communication, Dr Patanmi also lend his support for the call in reducing prices of services across board by the operators.

Despite the fact that it is only MTN that has shown any form of goodwill by the major telcos in Nigeria, Nigerians are not happy with the Greek gift.

Comments on their social media pages monitored has shown that the company continue to receive lot of thumb down from their subscribers who felt let down by MTN gesture.
